Little Houses
The first five pictures form a series of landscape works completed in Autumn 2007, four framed and one handsewn on a box canvas. There is now only one left for sale.
I met karmen at The Contemporary Textile Fair in Teddington. She is a jeweller and a textiles teacher. she liked my pictures and asked me to create a special one for her featuring her dream home in Croatia. She sent me lots of pictures of her favourite places . She asked for a stone house standing on it's own surrounded by an orchard, near to a village with a church, the whole scene was to be bathed in light from a silver moon. I sent sketches and after exchanging emails and talking on the phone I finally completed the picture and sent it to her . It was very rewarding to recieve her delighted emails the day the picture arrived with her . She admired it through the day as the light changed as as she put it "brought the picture to life !".I'm sure she will, one day, live in her dream house for real !
